Sig Tag/ Graphics Spotlight

Thought I'd show off some more sig tags that I've made. For these, I used graphics purchased from Kuntry Charm Grapics www.kuntrycharmgraphics.com. Annette's trying very hard to get her little business off the ground, so she'd really appreciate you stopping by, taking a look around, & picking something up while you're there (of course!).

Sunday

One of these days I'll figure out how to make Sunday a "do nothing" day! One of these days...like when the boys are all in college and I don't have laundry and breakfast and errands...(LOL) DH & I got up and did our payday running for the month. Glad I only have to get out once a month for that crud! I don't do crowds well, & it was getting stoopid in that store - that's what I get for thinkin everyone was in church!

I'm gonna play with some new scrapbook papers & composition books that I picked up...see what I can come up with. I've also got some "dud" CDs on hand, too. May have to post some pix later of more goodies that I have available - cards, journals, framed stitchin, that sort of thing. I've had an altered file folder project that I've been wanting to try & I've still got some embroidery projects calling to me. (LOL) Wow! Just thinking about doing all that is making me tired! Oh, well, I'll figure it out...always do! ;-)

Before I forget...a BIG thanks to everyone that surfed & snagged the pretty freebies I posted links for the other day. I enjoy doing that & these gals definitely deserve the attention - they're incredible!

Have a great rest of your day!

Practicing my "pimping" skills

YoYo! Wasssup! I be pimpin tuh-day!! (ROFL!)

I've offered to put up links to a HUGE blog party that's happening on October 1st, & I mean HUGE - last word was that they're up to 35 designers & counting. So....I thought I'd practice today by offering up links to a collab kit, called Pina Colada Breeze, from some of my favorite haunts.

These ladies are extremely talented & so generous when they offer up their freebies, I just can't gush enough about them!! Here's what you're getting today (links are below each pic):

Hey! Do me a favor? Be sure that when you visit each one of these beautiful ladies, leave them some love...they worked hard on these & they deserve the appreciation! 'K?
Have a great rest of your day!!!

Showing some digital sig tags

I've been taking pix of my merchandise to post here for the last three days, but right now, I'm beat! The idea of posting over 60 pix for you to browse through, makes me want to crawl into bed! (LOL) I thought instead, that I'd share a couple of signature tags that I've made using some very cute Freebie graphics from Irene Alexeeva (NOTE: font used on both sig tags is "Scrapbook" from 2Peas in a Bucket).

I TOLD you that she has some cute kits! (LOL) I'm using her raggedies for a sig tag soon. I've received some very nice compliments on these & have so much fun playing with them. I may put up a few from other sites that I've used later on.

Have a great rest of your day!!

I've won an award!!!

I'm still in a bit of shock over this! I mean, I've just begun my blog...it's still in the "infant" stage & barely learning to crawl. I have so much more I'd like to do to my little cottage here on the web. Painting, wallpaper to hang, curtains. I want it to feel "homey" ~~ like you could walk in the front door, make yourself a cup of tea or coffee and sit at the kitchen table with me for hours.

Andrea H ~ you're a sweetheart for doing this! I'm touched that you like my blog...I was humbled even more by your kind words and to find I'm in such wonderful company! Oh, wow!!!! In case some of you don't know, Andrea has a terrific blog of her own that recently received the same acknowledgement. You can find her at http://www.thepaperpurse.blogspot.com/. She's a fantastic cardmaker & crafter in her own right. I'm also honored to call her a HugSistah!

The rules for this award are:
1. The winner can put the logo on their blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs you've nominated.
I have to choose 7...hmmm, this is a toughie. I have some that I haunt frequently & have come over time to adore the owners, their personalities, sense of humor, and amazing talents. {sigh} Buck up Girl & get on with it! 'K! Here goes:
1. Summertime Designs (http://www.summertimedesigns.blogspot.com/) - This lady has given the digiscrapping world some absolutely gorgeous kits, with delicious names like "Vintage Oreo", while facing struggles in her personal life some of us can't even begin to fathom. Summer, I admire your courage & strength and wish you nothing but the best always.
2. Wenchd Grafix (www.wenchdgrafix.com/yakkin) - I found her through a Yahoo! Group & fell in love with not only her generosity but her sense of humor. She's one of the few I know that has witnessed firsthand & can fully appreciate a full-blown raging case of "rectal crani-itis!" (ROFL!) For those of you that know me, I give her full credit for the kooky lil kitties that I love to post and my "Doin a lil dork dance" blinkies!
3. Irene Alexeeva (http://www.irenealexeeva.blogspot.com/) - Another treasure in my Yahoo!Group. I love using her freebie kits to make some of my siggy tags for the message boards I frequent. Her work is so creative & whimsical without being cartoon-y. It's no wonder that the ScrapOrchard snapped her up for their design team!! I know I have started & fed some serious addictions by handing out her blog addy (30 times in ONE NIGHT). I'll have to show off the tags I've made with her "Get Kitty" & "Dog" kits - they're absolutely adorable!
4. Happybird's Crafting Haven (http://www.happybirdscraftinghaven.com/) - Talk about a prolific woman...she's a dynamo! You can spend DAYS getting through all of her TUTs, information that can be considered "must have," and crafting tips/projects. I'm a classic movie buff, so her movie clips throughout the posts are extremely entertaining. This woman will leave you shaking your head in awe!
5. Deb (http://www.debsdoodlesnthings.blogspot.com/) - A very talented HugSistah, who in spite of making a chaotic & long move, still finds time to blog so we know how she's doing or get in a quick craft to maintain her sanity. Sis, I moved 1400 miles 11 yrs ago (with 2 small toddlers) & I feel your pain! Hang in there!!
6. Raspberry Road Designs (http://www.raspberryroaddesigns.blogspot.com/) - Another of my "go-tos" for out-of-this-world siggy tag supplies. Susan uses her blogspot to showcase some of her outstanding merchandise and give away some of the yummiest digital freebies the Free World has ever seen. Susan, your talents are phenomenal & we're blessed to have you around.
7. Katrina's Kreations (http://www.katrinaskreations.blogspot.com/) - Another HugSistah that's trying to get her little home-based business off the ground. I truly believe it will fly soon - she can do some wonderful things with that vinyl cutting machine of hers!
Well, there you have it! I hope you enjoy visiting these lovely ladies as much as I do! Have a great rest of your day!!

Can't sleep

It's almost 2am here in Utah and I'm having a tough time getting to sleep...yes, I'm tired. Exhausted really. I'm always tired after chasing the boys around all day. Maybe it's because DH is out on the road & won't be home till Sunday late, maybe it's...oh, bother! I don't know WHAT it is, but I know tomorrow I'm gonna be walking around in a fog!

We had a good 4th, even though we didn't do the fireworks thing this year. I decided for safety reasons that trying to play with fire and watch 3 boys was just too much for this lady to handle. We had an early supper & after letting them throw boxes of Poppers at each other (& cleaning up the mess afterward), I took them to Sonic for ice cream. On the way home, the fireworks shows that are annual events around here began. We were surrounded: behind us there were fireworks around Hill Air Force Base, off to the Southeast was the show at Lagoon, then off to the West was Layton High School. Traffic as we got toward the house was insane, the people that went to Layton High to see the show had started fighting for parking spaces around 530 & from Gordon Avenue up to King's parking lot, there wasn't a spot to be had down Ft Lane. We arrived safely at home & the boys went straight to the back deck for the remainder of the show at the High School. I must admit, it was spectacular. The Big Ones kept booming, one after another, & I could feel them vibrating through the house. What a sensation.

I did manage to get some crafting done today. I put together some Christmas cards (a little too contemporary for me, but they're pretty) - still need to do some stamping on them & they'll be ready to present to the world. I made 2 mini journals last week out of the same paper that I used for my oldest son's book & I finished them today. I think they turned out rather nicely.
