The card base is a 5"x7" wheat-colored card from K&Co; background paper is from a mat pad from ProvoCraft; image is from PC Crafter (Kate Merkley's "Dance & Cheer"); colored with my Copic Sketch markers; cut with my largest classic oval Nestabilities; yellow chalking on the background; orange ink from Studio G that I picked up back in October around the edges of the card & the oval.
The lettering is my "Gift Box" Thickers in uncolored chipboard. I used Copic YR04 to color.
I got these cute little flowers on a bush stem at Wal-Mart for something ridiculous like 75 cents. Peeled them off the stems, glued a few down with my Tombow aqua, & placed some rhinestones in the centers.
Like I said, I'm stretching outside my normal routine, but I'm kinda proud of the fact that not only am I willing to try something a little bit different, I'm actually happy with how it turns out! Now I'm off to cut some fabric and do a bit of embroidery. My DH attended the wedding of one of his biker brothers yesterday & he's asked me to stitch and frame their wedding certificate. I'll make a card to go with it & as soon as it's ready to view, I'll be sure to share.
Thanks for stopping by & have a great rest of your day!!
